Prof. Annalisa Buffa

After her degree in computer science in 1996 and a PhD in mathematics in 2000 Annalisa Buffa obtained a research position at the CNR institute IMATI (Italy) in 2001. She became research director in 2004 and she led the institute from 2013 to 2016. Starting from September 2016, she has joined EPFL as full professor and she holds the Chair of numerical modelling and simulation (MNS) at the Mathematics Institute of Computational Science and Engineering (MATHICSE).
